Dog training - obedience classes or private training?

October 23rd, 2007

Obedience classes are fairly inexpensive, but some dogs may not respond to the training that the course offers. They may be distracted by the other dogs in the class. It is often better, but more expensive, to hire a private trainer. Your dog may benefit from the individual instruction. Dog training is necessary if you want a well-behaved dog, but the method that you use to train your dog is entirely up to you. Your dog’s personality may give you a good indication as to whether you should attempt obedience classes or opt for private lessons
