London – chaotic and bewildering but a stunning city to reside in or visit so with a magazine such as Time Out to help one along your way and help you find the finest pieces, what more could folk request?

The city is profuse with the best of everything – you will find superb bars, phenomenal clubs and places to eat that’ll keep you returning for more every time. London is broadly regarded as one of the “gay” focus points of the world and is the base for the biggest gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GBLT) community in Europe.

When you think about the yearly ‘Soho Pride’, ‘Pride London’ & London’s Gay and Lesbian Film Festival – and arguably several of the most breathtaking gay nights out you will find on earth – there is something to beguile you whatever the month.

A lot of the choicest bars in the core of London can be located in the famous gay area of Soho. Soho is great since everywhere is within walking distance, it never sleeps and you’ll always see something open to keep you entertained till sunrise. ‘Profile’, a great small bar off Old Compton Street (known as London’s ‘Gay’ road), is renowned for its tremendous cocktails and surroundings. There’s also ‘Friendly Society’ which is as friendly as its name alludes to, their drinks were somewhat dear but it is sure to be an amazing night out - there is a superb bunch of people and the DJ’s are excellent.

Additional acclaimed bars are Green Carnation, Bar Code, Freedom, The Edge, G-A-Y Bar, Village, Ku Bar, Candy Bar, The Yard and the more traditional Compton’s and Admiral Duncan, to mention just a few.

A few of the greatest venues are also the most renowned places. People can’t possibly have a night out in the city if they are visiting without stopping by G-A-Y, regularly described as the definitive camp Mecca. Great tunes, excellent individuals and cheap tipples, - one joint for any gay in the city to investigate! You also have Heaven, found just off the Strand. Heaven is a bit more high priced but it has a marvellous atmosphere and has enough rooms to pamper every fancy in tunes.

Additional clubs comprise of Soho Revue Bar & Shadow Lounge. The up and coming arena for more resolute revellers is a little bit farther out in Vauxhall. Many wonderful late night / early hours clubs & bars include Area, Crash, Barcode Vauxhall & Fire along with special nights at Club Coliseum and the world class Vauxhall Tavern.
